Tried the duck ramen.....pretty good but the plum paste and cucumber sushi still has me confused lol

They are my #1 choice for dinner when someone in the family is feeling under the weather. Great food, healthy, affordable. They have a nice central location too. I've been going there for well over a decade.

Everything here is amazing, well made, and tastes good, especially the sushi. Their ramen is not so good but honestly everything else on the diverse menu makes up for it.

Good little restaurant. Parking kind of sucks out front (or rather, getting out of the parking lot). Nice people. Good lunch specials. Sushi burrito was good. Got shrimp tempura and octopus.

My girlfriend and I love Yoshimatsu, we've been going there for a couple of years now. While I did prefer the old larger location's atmosphere and spaciousness, I like the new place just as much. Why? The food is still impressive. In fact, I think the ramen has gotten better over time. I have always left satisfied. This is a pretty busy place, service can slow down at times, just keep that in mind. Nevertheless, I've never received bad service. The food is beautiful and delicious!

Yoshumatsu is an excellent Japanese eatery! The spicy ramen with pork broth is superb! The ramen is a satisfying meal even for the carnivore. We also had the Spicy Tuna roll sushi which was perfectly done. Their happy hour specials are a great way to round out your dining experience. But make sure you take your appetite with you because the ramen bowls are huge, you might even be able to share.

We had the Charsu Ramen, Ginger Mushroom ramen, seaweed salad and agedashi tofu. Everything was very tasty. Charsu ramen was a bit bland. They have great service and have great procedures for COVID. We will continue visiting this place. So many great vegan and vegetarian options. We really like this place.

Waitress was friendly and attentive. Tons of lunch and seasonal specials. Been going there for the past five years and the quality is always great.

Yoshimatsu is one of my favorite restaurants in Tucson. They have the best, richest ramen in town, a huge variety of noodles, bento meals, appetizers, and bowls. I learned about them from my Japanese professors in college, who all said it was the most like what they were used to eating in Japan. Every time I go, I'm torn between the many "usual"dishes I love best, and sampling the ever changing array of seasonal specials. Whatever I get, I've never been disappointed. The atmosphere is very appealing. It's a great place for a celebratory dinner, as well as a totally casual bite to eat. It's tough, but try to save room for dessert - the taiyaki and the yuzu cheesecake are both amazing!

Very good sushi, ramen soups and service! Plus good prices too. Have returned a few times. Will take a picture next time too.

Get Asian Food Prepared Any Way You Like - six pages of menus. I personally got the Gyoza appetizer, the bacon mochi appetizer (chewy!), the tempura and sushi chef's choice dinner. It was all good, and more than I could eat.Only complaint: the blindingly bright light bulbs hanging from the ceiling -- not covered with a shade -- meaning you must squint through dinner.

Very cute kids menu. Loved the vibe in the place. Our waitress was very nice and always checking on us and our drinks. She even asked if we needed help with understanding the menu and helped up pick out a couple things.

This place has amazing food and great service! Be sure to make reservations if you’re going in the evening, especially Friday or Saturday, or you’ll risk a long wait. They’re popular for a reason!! :)

Favorite place in town. Freshest sushi in Tucson. The owner has fresh fish flown in all the time.

I had the veggie okonomiyaki and it was surprisingly delicious! I didn't know what to expect but I was overly impressed with the flavor and presentation. Would definitely recommend! It was crispy and savory with all the right veggies! Carrot, edamame, peas! Yum! The reason I didn't give a 5 is because the wait time for the food was a little long despite there not being a lot of people..

Service is great! And I love the yakisoba with tempura, taste just like what I had in Japan! The ramen is okay, if they could change the noodles to real Japanese ramen noodles. Sushi is also great, it's a set with ramen, I wish I could have more! Will visit very soon!

My friends and I visited because one of them thought they served sushi. We were pleasantly surprised to find that while they had some options available they had a variety of Japanese cuisine to choose from. I ordered the tonkatsu curry and was delighted with what I was served with. The servings are perfect for the price and the flavor was amazing. The atmosphere here is very nice and we held a conversation while there were other people around just fine. Definitely planning to come back soon this is such a hidden little gem!

Went here with a friend not too long ago, the location can be hard to get to especially for parking sometimes. But the food is really good and the prices are fair. It's worth the trouble to get there! Will be going back soon for more.

Very intimate, casual, and fun environment. Small gift shop like area when you first walking. Hands down the best seasoned sushi rice in town. Yes that matters. Tons of lunch specials and good quality large portions.

I went here with my family to celebrate my birthday and it was fantastic. All of the food I tried was very good. I really enjoyed my time at this place. Their menu also has a wide variety to choose from. If you're looking for nice meal, I would definitely recommend this place.

When we arrived at late lunch time (2pm) the rest of the staff must have been on break, because there was a single server working. It took quite a while to be seated and then around 15 minutes to take our order. After that the food was good and the server was pleasant and attentive. They have decent vegan options. I will never forget the vegan tofu hamburger bento that they dropped for a non-vegan home made patty. It was my favorite item.

The menu here is extensive! The sushi is decent and they make unagi that is melt in your mouth delicious. The spicy tan tan ramen noodle hit the spot on a cold night but I rather come here with friends and try to sample as much food as I can from the menu. Our server Ricky is great! Will be back for more!

New toTucson and second visit. Food was awesome. Had Edamame and Delux Poke Bowl and hokt tea. Like the way food is prepared and has a side of wasabi in Poke bowl to phase in as desired.

Best home style Japanese Food in Tucson, I highly recommend their Chicken-Katsu Don, Ramen, Soba, or Oyako Don. Their Sushi is also fresh and delicious, decent service, fantastic ambiance.

Certainly, a Tucson alternative to American fast-food, and Mexican cuisine. Lunch and Happy Hour specials daily. EZ parking in the front and back. W/C accessible. Cheery wait staff. Sorry to say, the food was just OK. Nothing to get excited about.

Our server, Tia, was awesome because she explained the menu very well and ingredients that we didn’t know. Even though I was hesitant, ended up liking what I ordered with her guidance. She also helped us determine what was vegan and also let us know the soup was vegan without us even needing to ask. She didn’t rush us at all and we were greeted right away. Food was good, but a little higher price than I had hoped. For a few vegetables and a bunch of rice, it was almost double what I normally spend on the same amount of food. Atmosphere was also good, but parking lot is a challenge. Temperature was comfortable.

Good service. Bento Box was a bit lame. Tempura was over breaded and vegis not cooked. Fry heat was to low. Veg skewers were dry. No life to them. Roll was not tightly rolled. OK, but not great. Sashimi was OK. Hamachi was the best.

Haven’t dined in, but take out was great. Really nice folks on the phone, accommodating to allergies, good portions, all-around good food!

Consistently exceeding expectations and one of the best restaurants I've been to. Healthy delicious food, great seasonal menu items and a sushi bar add up to a great overall experience. Highly recommend the sushi for a night out, or the regular restaurant for families or gatherings. Even though we live in a different city, we make an effort to come here whenever we're in town. Thank you Yoshimatsu for excellent food for the years we've been coming here.

The food was excellent. Lots of options, including vegan. We shared plates between 2 people and there was enough for leftovers as well. Staff was very nice. Prices are very reasonable.

Fantastic ramen. I had a party of 10 here and they were easily able to accommodate us with no hassle whatsoever. I thought their sushi was sub-par, but nothing really awful.
